GEMMA RANDALL BA (HONS)
REGISTERED BEHAVIOUR TECHNICIAN
Gemma graduated from Trinity College in 2004 with a 2:1 in Ba (HONS) Primary Education with Qualified Teaching Status. Whilst training, Gemma took an interest in Behaviour and took a teaching practice in a Behaviour Unit, teaching children with a range of challenging behaviours such as ADHD and Autism.
She then went on to move to West Bromwich and taught in mainstream schools for 5 years in Sandwell and Leicestershire becoming Literacy and History Co-ordinator.
Gemma took a break from teaching in 2009 to be with her daughter who had recently been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at the age of 6 months. Once her daughter began school, Gemma was introduced to ABA and applied for her first therapist job in 2010. She absolutely loved it and decided this was definitely the right career choice for her. She went on to become lead therapist for 2 of her children and in 2015 became the 11th Registered Behaviour Technician in the UK, and the first in Wales with the BACB.
Gemma looks forward to continuing her learning in the ABA field and is looking forward to completing the Occupational Therapist Assistant course in the near future.
