Trainee Behaviour Analysts
Since I was a teenager, I have volunteered or worked with children – whether they have additional needs or not. I coached children to swim at a competitive level and then taught children with a wide range of abilities to learn to swim. Through these experiences, I knew that I wanted to work with children and adults to help them to be the best they can be in anything and everything they do.
Unsure what exactly I wanted to do, and not yet coming across Behaviour Analysis, I completed an undergraduate degree in Childhood and Youth Studies at the University of South Wales. Throughout the degree, behaviour analysis was a module that I loved learning about which led me to gain my Masters in Applied Behaviour Analysis in 2018. During and since the Masters course, I have gained experience in an ABA home programme and a clinical setting.
I have started completing my hours to become a Behaviour Analyst and I have already experienced a wider range of settings and clients (including adults) that help my development and widen my experience.
