Skybound Featured in IMPACT’s Video about Transitions in Pembrokeshire
“This film tells the stories of young people, their aspirations, challenges, and dreams as they progress into adulthood. Part of IMPACT’s project in Pembrokeshire, it looks at information for young people and their families preparing for adulthood. IMPACT believes good support isn’t just about services. It’s about having a life.”
We were delighted to be featured in “Transitions – Pembrokeshire”, a new video from IMPACT, created in partnership with Pembrokeshire County Council as part of their Demonstrator project.
IMPACT is the UK centre for implementing evidence in adult social care. With co-production at its heart, IMPACT brings together research, lived experience and practice knowledge to make a real difference to front-line services and, most importantly, to people’s lives.
The film captures the voices of young people and families navigating the often daunting journey into adulthood. We were especially proud to see one of our clients featured, sharing their story of growth, new opportunities, and what the right support can make possible.
As one parent said: “Really exciting to think what she can achieve with their help.”
Moments like this reflect what we strive for every day. Whether providing tailored 2-to-1 support, or building pathways toward greater independence, our focus is always on enabling people to do things they’ve never had the chance to do before and helping them thrive.
From our experience working closely with families, and listening carefully to their feedback, we developed our own Transitions Guide to make the process clearer, more supportive, and more hopeful. You can find out more about it and get a free download on our Transitions blog here.
Together with our levels of adult care provision (see below), this reflects our commitment to walking alongside families at every stage of the journey.

We’re grateful to IMPACT for the chance to be involved in this important project, and for their ongoing work across the UK to show that good social care is about much more than services, it’s about creating full, meaningful lives.
