Mission statements and values are an essential part of any organisation’s identity. Despite their importance, mission statements are often overlooked or dismissed as a formality. There is always the risk that they will be left on the proverbial shelf to gather dust while everyone is busy at work.
We believe that keeping our values alive requires intentional effort and consistency. Some of the ways we achieve this are:
- Clearly Communicating our Mission, Vision and Values – in our induction training, during recruitment, on our company intranet, on our website and in this blog!
- Regularly revisiting, evaluating and updating them as a team to ensure they remain relevant
- Integrating our values directly into our job descriptions and measuring staff performance against them
- Opening our doors to regulatory bodies and inspections in order to hold ourselves to account and maintain high standards
