BIO

I have a twin sister and three brothers, one of whom has autism, ADHD and OCD, and another who has ADHD. They mean the world to me and have always been at the heart of my interest in supporting others. At school, I studied Psychology A Level and completed a module on autism, which was where I first learnt about Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). After leaving school, I spent a year working in a behavioural unit supporting children with autism. Alongside this, I worked as a playworker at a holiday club for children with neurodevelopmental and medical needs, while also supporting an amazing young person as a carer and personal assistant.

I then went on to study BSc Psychology at Cardiff University while continuing to work as a personal assistant and playworker during the holidays. During my studies, I found myself increasingly drawn to developmental and behavioural science and began thinking seriously about my future career. In my second year at university, I discovered Skybound Therapies and expressed my interest in behaviour analysis. In my final year, I completed a module in ABA with Dr Nick Hooper and absolutely loved everything I was learning. For the first time, I felt I had found something that truly aligned with both my interests and my values. Later that year, I successfully applied for a position as a Behaviour Technician with Skybound.

Since joining Skybound, I have had the pleasure of working alongside an amazing multidisciplinary team who strive to provide compassionate, person-centred support. I have been fortunate to work with a range of individuals, families, and colleagues, and through these experiences I am constantly learning and developing my knowledge of behaviour analysis and person-centred care. I am currently completing a Master’s degree in Behaviour Analysis and Therapy at the University of South Wales and have also been involved in collaborative work with the creators of PECS, supporting the development of resources designed to promote high-quality communication support. Alongside this, I am continuing to collect competencies towards becoming a Behaviour Analyst, which has long been my career goal. I am committed to continuing to learn, develop and be the best practitioner I can be for the people I support.
